Early Hans J. Wegner CH22 chair for Carl Hansen & Son

The beautiful and elegant ch22 easy chair is one of the many design icons by hans j. Wegner for carl hansen & son, denmark designed in 1950. Great collaboration between aesthetics, craftsmanship and use of materials resulting in a well proportioned piece. The soaped oak frame has many curved details and the papercord seat is derived from the wishbone chair seat. This example from 1964 is in very good original condition and signed with manufacturer stamps and decal.
