Library chest of drawers in solid oak, France 1940s-50s, in the style of René Gabriel — Reconstruction period. At the top, two levels of open shelves; at the bottom, four deep drawers with moulded fronts and round patinated brass handles. Notable graphic detail: triangular notch cut on the lower crossbar — manufacturer's signature. Sturdy construction, generous proportions. Condition: natural patina from use, some marks on the shelves. Fronts and exterior in good condition consistent with age. Stains inside the drawers, but overall in good condition. Dimensions: W 100 × D 45 × H 185 cm — Drawers: W 91 × D 37 × H 13 cm (×4).
