White opaline lampshade from the 1960s
White opaline glass lampshade with an organic silhouette that is perfectly balanced, characteristic of the luminous design of the 1960s. Its slightly flared chalice shape and opaline diffuser provide a soft, diffused light, highly sought after in Mid-Century interiors. The piece features an interesting metallic structure with three rods that holds the lampshade at its neck. The system is designed to accommodate electrification: the central piece screws onto the metallic structure, allowing for the attachment of a suitable socket and suspension cable. Important: the lampshade is sold without electrical equipment: no socket, no cable, no rose. It will need to be re-electrified. This configuration allows for the selection of electrification suitable for the project and the neck diameter of 8.5 cm. The electrical installation must be carried out with compliant materials and, if necessary, by a professional. The shape and proportions evoke certain Danish models attributed to Jacob E. Bang for Holmegaard, particularly white opaline pendants from the 1960s with very similar dimensions. However, this attribution remains unconfirmed in the absence of markings. A beautiful element for creating a vintage pendant, in a living room, bedroom, hallway, or above a table. Period: 1960-1970. Style: Mid-Century, modernist, Scandinavian design. H. 32 cm – Max Ø 18 cm – Ø at neck 8.5 cm.
