Daybed, banquette or Scandinavian-style daybed, France circa 1960.

Superb and rare daybed or day bed in Scandinavian style but made in France around 1960. The structure is entirely in oak with a varnished light oak veneer on tapered legs. The originality lies in the presence of a shelf at the end of the bed, serving as a bedside table, seamlessly extending from the frame, appearing almost suspended. The mattress, mounted on a steel frame, consists of flat springs for excellent support. It comes with its original mattress from the brand Belle literie, in perfect condition and without any stains. The mattress is covered with a chocolate brown wool cover, also in very good condition. The daybed measures 227 cm wide, 87 cm deep, and 44 cm high at the mattress level (16 cm thick) and 55 cm at the shelf level (35 cm wide). Very high quality and in excellent condition, this daybed can serve as a bed in a child's room or as a bench in an entrance or living room for delightful naps. Not to be missed!!!.
