Table J. BILLOUX – French School of the 19th/20th Century

Oil on canvas signed at the bottom right J.Billoux depicting a nature scene treated with beautiful sensitivity and depth. The work captures a soft light that highlights the serenity of the place, typical of plein air painters of that era. J.Billoux is often associated with landscapes of Allier, Berry, or the banks of the Loire. His style is close to the painters of the Barbizon School or the Crozant School, favouring nature and the play of natural light.
