Discover this magnificent octagonal offering bowl on a pedestal made of Chinese porcelain from the late Qing dynasty (19th century, circa 1870-1890). This rare piece of Asian art stands out for its superb vibrant turquoise blue background glaze, typical of the Famille Rose productions of that era. The exterior decoration is entirely hand-painted and features rich traditional Chinese symbolism: Pink bats in flight (Fu), sacred emblems of happiness, joy, and good fortune. Stylised yellow and pink Lingzhi mushrooms, symbols of longevity and immortality. The neck of the circular pedestal is enhanced with a delicate geometric frieze painted in iron red and water green, and the upper rim retains traces of its original gilding. Underneath the base, the bowl is signed with a reign mark in red iron seal within a double square. Condition: Beautiful vintage condition for a piece over a century old. The turquoise glaze inside and out has retained all its brilliance and freshness. No major cracks or restorations (normal wear of the gilding around the edge and usage patina under the foot, see photos).
