Pair of earthenware dishes from Gien, Iris model, 28 cm

Charming duo of antique round dishes in ironstone from the Faïencerie de Gien, Iris model. They feature a blue floral decoration depicting irises with small dragonflies and insects on a cream background. The reverse bears the stamp of the Faïencerie de Gien with the mention "Gold Medal – Honour Diplomas – Iris". The two dishes are matching and each measures approximately 28 cm in diameter. Condition: the dishes show signs of age and use: crazing of the glaze, patina, and discolouration in places. A crack is also visible, both on the back and the front of one dish, as well as a small chip on the edge of one of them. These defects are visible in the photos and should be taken into account before purchase.
