Large oak display cabinet – Napoleon III period

Important antique showcase library in oak, with very beautiful proportions, featuring a robust and sober construction typical of large commercial or library furniture from the late 19th century. The upper part opens with four large glass doors, revealing numerous shelves for displaying books, collectibles, ceramics, or porcelain. The shelves are adjustable on rails. The lower part is particularly functional with a significant series of twelve large drawers, arranged in four bays. Several retain their label holders and metal shell handles, indicating its former use as storage or work furniture. Beautiful warm brown patina of the oak, with a lovely grain. The molded cornice and solid base give the whole piece a particularly decorative presence.
