Pair of lamps by Gerard Taylor for Drimmer, 1981

This lamp was designed by scottish designer gerard taylor for the french publisher drimmer in 1981. This designer was then part of the memphis group founded by ettore sottsass. It is limited to 200 copies. The base is made of metal, the foot is made of earthenware and the cylinder is made of glass. The publisher described it as follows: "this lamp is his first ceramic lamp and therefore constitutes a new experiment for which his first concern was to find a familiar image for the home while disturbing and making a new departure through changes of scale and color".
