Charming antique ironstone soup plate, signed Faïencerie Saint-Amandinoise, decorated with a Lily of the Valley design, dating from 1900-1910. Its finely printed bottle-green decoration depicts a bouquet of lily of the valley and ferns tied with a ribbon, framed by an elegant stylized floral border. Stamped "Saint Amandinoise - Saint Amand" with the charming rooster, emblem of the early Saint-Amand productions, this piece attests to the authenticity and quality of this earthenware from northern France. Dating from 1900-1910, this period represents a transition between Saint-Amand and Moulin des Loups, and precedes later versions with a simple stamp. In good vintage condition, with hairline cracks, a patina of age, glaze crazing, and other signs of wear (see photos). Diameter 22 cm, height 3.5 cm. Perfect for a table with poetic French cottage charm.
