Transitional commode from the mid-18th century, featuring wood marquetry on oak. It opens with three protruding drawers, with rosewood veneered fronts, geometric friezes, and dark line inlays. The curved legs end in gilded bronze sabots, typical of Parisian production in the second half of the 18th century. The lock entries and handles are made of chiselled bronze, decorated with knots and foliage. The hardware is present, with some entries retaining their key. The top is fitted with a veined black marble slab, moulded around the edges, well-fitted to the case. The back and underside are made of solid wood, revealing an old construction with tool marks and traditional joinery. The commode is stamped, with a branding iron mark representing fleurs-de-lis, visible in the wood. Overall good condition for an 18th-century piece, with wear and typical restorations, without affecting the reading or authenticity of the whole. Dimensions: L 114 X H 84 X D 60 cm.
