Orange Slice Chair F437 Pierre Paulin for Artifort, 1960s

Orange Slice Armchair F437, designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1960. This is an early edition from the 1960s, identifiable by its original tubular base with a nickel finish, unlike the chrome finishes used in many later productions. The armchair has been fully restored and professionally reupholstered, with the foam replaced. The new blue and off-white textured fabric gives the armchair a warm and contemporary look. It is made from a particularly durable upholstery fabric: 100% polyester, 550 g/m², with a Martindale abrasion resistance of over 70,000 cycles. The original nickel base has been preserved in its old finish and shows a slight patina and some normal signs of use. A very fine example of this classic of French and Dutch design from the 1960s, ready to be used.
