Large Pichon stoneware dish 1960 Signed "Pichon" on the reverse Diameter 33.3 cm Height 4.2 cm Weight: 2.060 grams This large Pichon stoneware dish is a hand-made ceramic. This vintage piece from Provence dates from the 1960s. It is very rare. A very beautiful blue-black glaze forms a superb material in the center of the plate. The Pichon house is located in Uzès, in the south of France, in this region where ochres and clays are rich and abundant. The Pichon house is a family factory which, since 1802, or 7 generations from father to son, has continued to innovate in the art of ceramics. Each Pichon has its own personality and style. The factory has received the "Entreprise du patrimoine vivant" label awarded by France in recognition of its excellence. Very good general condition, no cracks or missing enamel.
