Grand Specimen of Curiosities Cabinet – Giant Pteroceras "Lambis truncata" – Exceptional Size of 37 cm. DESCRIPTION: Remarkable and imposing specimen of Lambis truncata (giant spider conch), the largest representative of the Strombidae family. This magnificent collector's shell stands out with its extraordinary size of 37 cm in length and a significant weight of over 1.2 kg. It features its seven characteristic asymmetrical "digits" ("legs") perfectly formed. The dorsal side displays very graphic natural rough and marbled reliefs, while the ventral opening reveals a superb polished nacre with delicate shades ranging from cream white to salmon pink. A choice piece of natural history, highly decorative for a cabinet of curiosities, a library, or a marine or design-inspired interior. Condition: Very good overall natural conservation state. The tips and digits are intact, with no major breaks, which is rare for a specimen of this size. Nacre tones are well preserved. (Please examine the detailed photographs from all angles). Characteristics: Species: Lambis truncata (Giant Pteroceras) Family: Strombidae. Origin: Indo-Pacific Ocean. Length: 37 cm. Depth: 20 cm. Height: 10 cm. Weight: 1274 g.
