Beech umbrella stand imitating bamboo from the 1930s. France. Stained beech umbrella stand, turned "faux bamboo", typical of the enthusiasm for exoticism that surged in the 1920s-30s. The top ring serves as a handle and crowns four fluted supports joined by a round base. At the bottom, a round brass basin collects water — a practical and elegant detail.
