IMPORTANT LOUIS-PHILIPPE / SECOND EMPIRE LIBRARY Very beautiful antique library from the mid-19th century (circa 1840-1870), fully dismantlable, from an old family of doctors. Dimensions: * Width: 270 cm. * Height: 260 cm. * Overall depth: 37.8 cm. * Usable shelf depth: 35 cm. Library with 4 glass doors with original keys and bolt locks. Well-constructed: * Flame mahogany veneer with symmetrical decoration on the uprights, doors, cornice, and plinth. * Interior in oak. * Backs made of assembled panels. * Original wooden brackets allowing for shelf adjustment. * 12 original shelves (6 levels), numbered and individually adjusted. * Fully dismantlable for transport. General condition: * Very good state of preservation. * Some minor veneer restorations needed, particularly at the lower part of certain doors. * One lock fully functional, the second needs slight revision (sticking). * Original glass retained. This library offers significant storage capacity while maintaining an elegance and quality of cabinetmaking that has become rare. The piece is currently dismantled and stored dry, protected, in the southern suburbs of Nantes. Visible by appointment.
