Exceptional and very rare pair of armchairs from the late 50s to early 60s. Model completely in the style of the productions of the arp (atelier de recherches plastiques founded in 1954 by the famous designers guariche, motte and mortier). Structure in bent beech wood (bow wood) according to the thermoformed glulam technique. Seat and monobloc backrest with straps and springs that can be turned between the armrests, offering 2 seating positions (straight or relax chair) and therefore 2 different designs (see photos). The armchairs have been fully checked and reupholstered by an upholsterer of a beautiful slightly mottled olive green fabric especially for their sale. Of course the buttons and piping have been redone identically to the original. Depending on the position, the height at the backrest is 101 or 96 cm, at the center of the armrests 53 cm, the height of the seat in front of 40 or 43 cm, behind 28 or 25 cm, the width of 62 cm and the depth of 85 or 95 cm. In excellent condition and very qualitative, this superb pair of armchairs with clean lines and timeless high-flying design will become the flagship piece of an elitist decoration. Don't miss it!!.
