Pair of vintage bistro chairs with slats in beech (1960) - Style

Magnificent pair of vintage bistro chairs from the 1950s-1960s, featuring a fan-shaped slatted design inspired by the Windsor/Baumann style. With their enveloping backrest with four vertical slats, their curved top rail, and elegant curved wooden supports under the seat, these chairs bring guaranteed retro and authentic charm. They fit perfectly around a kitchen table as well as in a chic country, boho, or Scandinavian decor. 1 Structure & Joinery: Excellent. The beech structure is perfectly solid, stable, and upright. The joints under the seat (curved wooden supports and fixings) are in perfect condition (see photos of the underside). No play or fragility. 2 Wooden Seats: The seats show signs of use. One of the seats has dark water rings/stains in the centre, and the other has small dark marks on one edge (see close-ups of the seats), as well as a chip. 3 Backrest & Slats: The wood of the slats displays a beautiful patina of use, with a natural fading of the varnish in the contact areas.
