Pot / Jar in smoked and glazed terracotta — Folk art. Superb ancient utilitarian pot with two handles (diota) in black terracotta (smothered/smoked firing). Magnificent work of rustic folk art with its partial green/yellowish glaze inside and its characteristic raw drips on the outside. Very beautiful period patina, ideal for a country, antique, or wabi-sabi decoration. Dimensions: Height: ~15.5 / 16 cm. Diameter of the opening: 11 cm. Total width (with handles): 16 cm. In very good condition for its age, in its original state with small imperfections from artisanal firing that add to its charm. Careful and very well-protected shipping possible. Ref 1719.
