Indian Low Table Chakki Antique Solid Wood

Magnificent and authentic Indian Chakki table, an ancient traditional grain mill. Far from the modern reproductions in lightweight wood found today, this piece is a genuine antique table from the late 19th to early 20th century, made from solid exotic wood. Its heavy and robust construction reflects its original use, designed to support the heavy stone millstones once used for grinding grains. It has an exceptional natural patina, shaped by time, with authentic signs of use that give it a unique charm and an irreplaceable character. Traditional structure with internal cross bracing, intended to support the millstone. Period wrought iron elements, bands, reinforcements, and old nails preserved with their beautiful natural oxidation. Small sculpted side trapdoor with its original wooden latch, once used for the evacuation of flour. Magnificent geometric decorations hand-carved around the edge and on the solid legs. A rare piece, both a work of Indian folk art, a historical testimony, and a unique decorative furniture item, ideal for adding an ethnic, bohemian, or wabi-sabi touch to an interior.
