Modernist coffee or side table by Lane Furniture, USA circa 1950

Very beautiful, very original and above all extremely rare coffee or side table, or even end table, circa 1950. A fairly emblematic model of the American minimalist movement published by Lane Furniture (Altavista, Virginia, USA) during the late 1950s and early 1960s and which was only distributed across the Atlantic. This furniture was particularly popular for furnishing the luxurious villas of the famous Palm Springs resort in California. Structure in solid oak and American walnut, gilded aluminum shoes, it bears under the tops the manufacturer's stamp as well as the model and series number (see photo). In superb condition, the large top measures 74x51 cm at 41 cm in height, the small 31x51 cm at 62 cm in height. Very qualitative, completely in the decorative spirit of our time, this table will bring a truly exclusive touch to your interior.
