Swivel conference/dining chair in leather Wilkhahn Delta, by Delta Group, 1960

This first-generation Wilkhahn Delta leather armchair, with its black plastic shells and brushed aluminium armrests covered in leather, is in excellent condition. The leather is impeccable, and the plastic shells as well as the aluminium feet show minimal patina on the piping and base. The chair is swivel. The Delta 2000 model was designed in 1968 by the Delta group. A classic of 1960s design, it can serve as an office chair, conference room chair, or dining chair. Over 100 years ago, Friedrich Hahne and Christian Wilkening founded the Wilkhahn company as a chair factory. In 1946, they established contact with the Deutsche Werkstätten (German Workshops) and designers Georg Leowald and Herbert Hirche, heirs of the Bauhaus. Since then, Wilkhahn has been one of the leading manufacturers of high-end office furniture.
