Immerse yourself in the authenticity of Breton earthenware with this superb pair of Henriot Quimper trinket trays, model 137, hand-painted in the 1950s and 1970s. Each piece represents a traditional Breton character: the man in ochre trousers and a black jacket, the woman in a headdress and apron, delicately staged on an ivory background enhanced by a warm-toned frame. A rare feature: these trinket trays bear the inscription "Saint-Jean-de-Monts, " a special order made for the famous Vendée seaside resort. This customization, unusual for Quimper earthenware, makes them highly sought-after pieces by both Henriot collectors and lovers of vintage regional souvenirs. Their sinuous silhouette and lively decoration make them charming decorative objects, perfect for adding character to the interior of a seaside house, a guest room, or a collector's display case. Stamped Henriot Quimper 137 St Jean de Monts. Dimensions 9 cm X 7 cm X 1.5 cm. Very good general condition, tiny discreet enamel chips on the edge, a hairline crack on the Breton woman's pocket, bright colors (see photos). A rare encounter between Brittany and Vendée, to seize to enrich a collection or offer a souvenir of yesteryear with intact charm.
