Golden and Grey-Green Wooden Bench, Directoire Style – Late 19th Century

Reference: 070324.2. Two-seater bench, in Directoire style, made of gilded and grey-green painted wood, carved and featuring caning in perfect condition. This is reinforced by a central rail for optimal support of the rectangular seat of this piece. This bench is equipped with two openwork armrests, topped with a capital accompanied by gilded rods and adorned with floral decorations combined with raised geometric patterns. Similarly, the crossbars are embellished with stylised decorations. These armrests rest on a fluted wooden element and end with turned and fluted feet at the upper part. ******** Period: late 19th century. Very good condition of the seat.
