This elegant pair of Hollywood Regency-style wall sconces was produced in Germany during the 1970s and reflects the organic decorative language associated with Hans Kögl and related German design workshops of the period. Each sconce is executed in gilt metal with a sculptural wheat sheaf composition composed of finely shaped leaves and stylized grain elements rising above two gracefully curved candle arms. The warm gilt finish introduces a rich, atmospheric character and beautifully enhances the textured hand-worked surfaces.
