✨ Authentic engraving from 1959 (66 years old) - Subject: Rosemary. 🌿 Size: 20 X 26 cm. 🌿 Edition: between 1956 and 1966. 🌿 Light cream-coloured cardboard, elegant and vintage. 🌿 Condition: very good, with a very subtle deliberate vintage effect during printing. This illustration adopts the naturalistic style of botanical plates from the 18th to early 19th centuries, characterised by a precise and isolated representation of the plant. The drawing, with great scientific rigour, is balanced by an elegant and decorative composition, highlighting leaves, flowers, and stems in their various states. It features muted and nuanced colours, reminiscent of watercolour, with a focus on readability, also in herbalism. This plate, dating from the mid-20th century, served as medicinal advertising with the advertisement on the back. The illustration presents a detailed botanical plate of rosemary with its woody stem, deep green linear persistent leaves, and characteristic small blue-violet flowers. The composition also includes isolated floral details showing the structure of the flower and fruit. 🌸 Secure shipping: Rigid protection to ensure condition upon arrival. 🌸 Bulk purchase: Possible discounts for purchasing multiple plates. Redouté pinx. Rosemary Gabriel Sculp. --- Decoration, vintage, Provence, Mediterranean cuisine, essential oils, condiments, phytotherapy, aromatic herbs, medicinal plants, Lamiaceae. This plate presents a naturalistic and scientific style, typical of 19th-century botanical illustrations, in the tradition of Redouté's plates.
