Magnificent round vase model 11 by Hélène LAIZÉ, ceramist from Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, 1960s-70s. Thanks to the sky blue crystalline glaze "Frost" with white star-shaped crystals. Unique effect, each firing yields a different result. High-temperature stoneware, in impeccable condition, without cracks or chips. Item sheet: Vase Hélène LAIZÉ H.L.Z. Model 11. • Description: glazed stoneware, sky blue crystalline glaze, Signed H.L.Z. Engraved under the base with a stylus in the raw clay before firing. Model and signature identifiable in the book "Ceramics of France 1950-1980" by Marion VIGNAL p.87. • Dimensions: Height approximately 15cm, diameter approximately 14cm. Ideal size for a shelf or centrepiece. Collector's item. • Technique: Zinc-silicate glaze fired at 1250°C. Slow cooling for 6 hours promoting the formation of star-shaped crystals. Each piece is unique. • Artist: Hélène LAIZÉ 1920-2005, ceramist from Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire. Member of the post-war Vallauris movement.
