Stunning Vintage Elliots of Newbury Teak Sideboard 1960 Scandinavian Design

Stunning Vintage Elliots of Newbury Teak Sideboard|1960|Scandinavian Design. A fantastic mid-century retro vintage sideboard by Elliots of Newbury, dating from around 1960 and showcasing the wonderful combination of high-quality British craftsmanship with the clean, elegant influence of Danish and Scandinavian design. This is a particularly beautiful example, featuring a wonderfully balanced and understated design with three central drawers and a spacious cupboard to either side. The drawers and doors are complemented by distinctive organically formed wooden handles, giving the piece a subtle sculptural quality and adding warmth to its otherwise clean architectural lines. The sideboard is beautifully finished in rich teak veneer, with a stunning natural grain that changes beautifully across the surface. The warm honey and golden tones of the teak create a sophisticated vintage appearance, while the simple proportions allow the natural beauty of the wood to take centre stage. The combination of the organic handles, beautifully grained teak, clean lines and Scandinavian influence makes this an exceptionally stylish piece of British mid-century furniture. It would work beautifully as a sideboard in a dining room or living room, but could equally be used as a stylish media unit, storage cabinet or statement piece in a contemporary interior.
