Botanical poster, Rose of Van Eden, P-J Redouté

Botanical poster, lithograph, Rosa Gallica Purpuréa Valentina Parva, Van Eden rose, by P-J Redouté, celebrated for his watercolours of flowers and roses. Collaborator of the greatest botanists (1759-1840). This is a vintage print from the Rémond printing house (1950s/60s) set under glass and framed. The wooden frame is glazed and gold in colour. The lithograph has retained its original colours and depicts a branch of rose with pronounced colours on a beige background. Condition: The poster is particularly well preserved (slight traces/small marks of time on the edges of the poster). Some marks on the frame. Details photographed. Dimensions: 42.5/32.2cm.
