Exceptional set of two Art Deco armchairs, model H269, designed in the 1930s in Czechoslovakia and attributed to Jindřich Halabala. This model is considered one of the most iconic designs of European interwar modernism. The armchairs feature a sculptural bentwood frame with a distinctive and timeless form. The wooden elements have been professionally refreshed, carefully cleaned and preserved in very good condition, retaining a subtle and elegant original patina. The construction is stable and fully functional. The upholstery has been newly finished in high-quality bouclé fabric in a deep bottle-green colour, beautifully complementing the warm tone of the wood and enhancing the refined character of the design. The internal upholstery fillings have not been replaced and remain in good technical condition. Comfortable and ready for everyday use, these armchairs are perfect for Art Deco, modernist, and contemporary interiors alike, serving as a strong statement piece with clear collector’s value.
