A vintage set of 4 brutalist dining chairs in solid oak, made by De Puydt and produced in Belgium during the 1960s–1970s. With their tall sculptural backs, warm oak grain, carved plank seats and rustic Belgian brutalist design language, these vintage De Puydt dining chairs have a strong architectural presence and a beautifully grounded mid-century character.  Maker: De Puydt. The chairs are defined by their unusually tall split backrests, rounded paddle-like vertical forms, exposed horizontal crossbars and solid plank seats with visible round joinery details. The oak has a warm, tactile surface with expressive grain, softened edges and natural patina throughout. Their silhouettes feel sculptural and almost architectural, with a strong vertical rhythm that gives the set a distinctive presence around a dining table.
