Vase signed jean-claude courjault made for the keraluc earthenware factory in quimper.renowned french ceramist, jean-claude courjault will create all his production at keraluc until the 1970s. He appreciates the saltstoneware technique of vitrifying ceramics by adding salt during firing, giving his works a characteristic texture. This vase is a very beautiful achievement that presents a conical trunk surmounted by a corolla head and a polychrome vegetal decoration accompanied by geometric engravings. It is signed under the base at the tip. We find the following inscription: "j.cl courjault – graduate of fine arts – keraluc – unique piece". This work, inspired by nature, combines shades of blue and a gradient of browns. Original and unique, this vase will find a place in a warm interior. ********* Period: 1960. Excellent condition.
