Napoleon office of the mid-nineteenth century. Designed and manufactured by a cabinetmaker, it is entirely made of solid walnut. The herringbone decoration top is a mahogany veneer marquetry. The napoleonic style is remarkable, with its turned feet ending in a spinning top and blackened wooden moldings. The feet are connected by a beautiful spacer turned in the shape of an h. There is a lot of turning work on this piece of furniture, with different diameters and a clever mix of shapes. Under the tray, there is a large drawer, across the width, opening thanks to a beautiful tin handle and shaped like a drop of water. This desk is in excellent general condition, with of course some holes and traces, but nothing that is not authentic. The marquetry is superb and in very good condition. The stability and solidity is still there, more than 100 years later! Can be used as an office, as an entrance console, it will delight you, and bring to your decoration a classic touch, with a style both anvien and modern. Size: Height: 72 cm. Leg passage height: 58 cm. Length: 90 cm. Width: 56 cm. Weight: 13 kg. Delivery possible in france and in the world, thank you to contact me before purchase for establishment of a personalized quote.
