Transatlantic racing armchair, Art Deco period, modular and convertible into a daybed, 1930s

Art Deco era racing chair with system. Beautifully crafted from solid blond mahogany. Transformable: lift the seat and unfold it from below to transform the chair into a chaise longue. Not flat enough. Pull the chaise longue seat forward and fold the backrest forward. Recently redone fabric. Chair in very good condition, note a natural patina on the brass tubing that supports the armrests. Dimensions: width 82 cm, depth 85 cm, seat height 40 cm. Fully unfolded, the chair is 195 cm long.
