'Tupa' Armchair for Haimi Reino Ruokolainen

The ‘tupa’ armchair was designed by reino ruokolainen whilst working as the artistic director for haimi. Haimi specialized in manufacturing modern, high-quality furniture and was one of the best-known furniture companies at the time in finland. During his time with haimi, ruokolainen mostly made wooden furniture in the finnish mid-century style. For this specific armchair, he chose to work with an oak frame, which has acquired a nice patina and slight wear over the years. The cushions have been reupholstered in white bouclé fabric.
