Emerald green braided slip trivet and bottle holder, knife holder

Magnificent set in glazed ceramic in a beautiful emerald green color (difficult to render in a photo, the photos on a black background are those that show the real color). This set includes a trivet, two bottle coasters and 12 matching knife rests. Each piece was handmade and is decorated with braided coils. The bottom of the trivets and bottles is also worked: a caning of strips. It is a beautiful and probably long artisanal work of modeling. This set perhaps dates from the 1950s when this emerald green color was very popular, and used by famous manufacturers such as Saint Clément, Verceram. Apart from a number on the back of the two bottle coasters, this set is not stamped, so probably the work of an independent ceramist, perhaps based in Vallauris where this type of braided slip was offered by many ceramic workshops. The set is in very good condition, no cracks or chips, just tiny signs that testify to its age: a chip on a knife rest, small areas with light marks on the varnish on the trivet, it is not very visible, and a coloring on the underside of some knife rests. The trivet measures 20 cm on each side and 2.5 cm thick, the bottle coasters measure approximately 12.5 cm on each side and are approximately 2 cm thick, the knife rests measure approximately 10 cm in length, 2.5 cm in width and 2 cm in height.
