Atomic age Orange glass floor lamp by Tibor Hazi, Hungary, 1973

This atomic age floor lamp was designed in 1973 by hungarian designer tibor hazi and made in hungary in the 1970s. The lamp is made of orange opaque glass with a matte surface and and a chrome construction. The rounded shape of the lamp is related to the atomic age, the period when round futuristic shapes entered applied art. When switched on, the lamp creates a pleasant diffused light. The lamp is fully functional, in good original condition, the chrome shows sign of age and using with a few chrome surface defects, but nothing significant. Height: 140 cm. Width: 29 cm. Depth: 30 cm.
