Folio library cabinet in hardwood William IV circa 1830 with drawers.

We are delighted to offer for sale this William IV folio library cabinet made of solid hardwood, fully restored, with drawers and library sections, finished with the original leather top from around 1830. This original cabinet dates back approximately 190 years. The main body features a pair of removable shelves that can be used as a library or for folios. Each end has matching collector's cupboards with rows of drawers. The top is made of original leather. The piece has been carefully restored, with wood issues addressed, and it has been lightly cleaned and French polished. Dimensions: height 72 cm, width 74.5 cm, depth 54 cm. The condition is good, with wear consistent with age and use. The leather has a natural patina with cracks, creases, and wear; regular polishing is recommended. The hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods as it dries out and discolours.
