Origin: China, Hunan. – historical note – China has been a reference in the manufacture of vases and ceramic items for many centuries. Porcelain vases became particularly famous and were appreciated in the upper echelons of European royalty as a symbol of status and power. Ceramics themselves are known worldwide, although the details of their manufacture, especially the distinction between different qualities of ceramics, remain quite unknown to the public. In general, two main groups are distinguished: low-temperature ceramics and high-temperature ceramics. Porcelain is an example of high-temperature firing, which begins to fire at 1000 degrees. On the other hand, ceramics primarily made of clay are fired at 400 degrees and do not have the hardness that porcelain can possess. For this reason, low-temperature ceramics have been used mainly for ornamental purposes. This decorative vase was created with the desire to attract good omens of happiness and joy into your home. Our antique vases are unique pieces specially selected to be part of timeless spaces and combine perfectly with one of our antique sideboards or cabinets.
