A beautiful pair of Jonisk lamps by Carl Ojerstam for Ikea. 1990s. Weighted aluminum base for stability. Each lamp features a stunning opaque white plastic diffuser globe. Very elegant with their soft, rounded shapes. Timeless lamps that complement a variety of interior styles. Excellent condition, with a few minor signs of age. One of the lamps has a dimmer switch that is no longer functional. These lamps can also be placed directly on the floor, hence the few small scratches on the base. Nothing significant. Carl Ojerstam: Carl Ojerstam is an MFA industrial designer. He graduated from Konstfack (Swedish College of Art) in 1997 and has since worked both as an employee and as a freelancer. He has also taught design in Sweden and abroad. Carl has received numerous awards and accolades, including the "On Picnic" grant from the design agency NoPicnic for his thesis at Konstfack (Swedish College of Art). Three of his products have won the Red Dot Design Award. One of these is the Omni chair, manufactured by Materia and first presented at the Stockholm International Furniture Fair in 2008. Carl's work is also featured in numerous Swedish and international design books. Carl has been running his own agency (Carl Design AB, www.carldesign.se) since 2002, where he undertakes a wide range of design projects, from kitchenware, furniture, and lighting to packaging and consumer electronics. He also works on architectural, exhibition, and retail design projects. His clients include both small businesses and internationally renowned brands.
