Magnificent and important candelabrum in the High Gothic / Troubadour style from the Napoleonic III era (19th century), with a monumental presence measuring 85cm in height and weighing 6kg. This art object in bronze and brass is distinguished by its asymmetrical pyramid architecture of great richness designed in a sheaf. Its structure is organised around 5 independent main branches that extend from the central cup. In total, there are 7 lights and 15 finely chiselled fleur-de-lis. Condition and patina: The object has been entirely dry cleaned to preserve its original patina. A few minute traces of verdigris remain in the deep recesses, ensuring its authenticity and its 150 years of history. The electricity is functional. The wiring in twisted silk-effect fabric is in good condition and has been checked. This object, of very fine craftsmanship, has the complexity of a piece from a grand Parisian house. Through the surgical finesse of its chiselling and the rare complexity of its structure, this candelabrum embodies the excellence of Napoleonic III art bronzework.
