Very rare model. Søholm stentøj, meaning soholm stoneware, was founded in 1835 by herman sonne wolffsen and edvard sonne. The name søholm comes from the factory where the two founders were employed, a pottery near copenhagen, in 1828-1839. It was the oldest working factory on bornholm, a danish island off the southern coast of sweden, until it closed in 1996. In the mid-20th century, søholm produced a wide range of stoneware in various patterns and shapes. Several designers worked for søholm stentøj such as einar johansen, maria philippi, noomi backhausen among others. The lamps are signed with the manufacturer's mark and the initials "em" for erling mortensen. They come with new lampshades. New cables and sockets. Diameter of the lampshade: 33 cm total height with shade: 59 cm height of the lamp base with socket: 43 cm. Diameter of the lamp base: 11 cm.
