DESCRIPTION: A unique Oriental cabinet. These cabinets are from the 1970s, a period of renewed interest in Chinoiserie. This style originated in the mid-18th century, when entire castles were filled with Chinese and Eastern furniture and objects. In the 1970s, such furniture was made again, and each piece is unique. All elements are applied by hand, giving it an artistic touch. You can clearly see the hand-painted lines. It is painted on all sides, even inside. The front features cranes and blossoms. The sides show birds and water lilies. The doors are painted inside with bamboo and flowers. There are two cabinet spaces: the upper one, which used to hold a TV, and a lower cabinet space. In short, a very beautiful cabinet for a bohemian or Oriental-style home or shop. DIMENSIONS: Height: 144cm, Width: 100cm, Depth: 51cm. Upper cabinet height: 66.5cm, width: 96cm, depth: 47cm. Lower cabinet height: 42.5cm. CONDITION: The cabinet has developed craquelure. Some small spots have been retouched. The lower cabinet doors stick and have clear damage (see last photos for a better idea of the condition). Good condition, with some age-related wear. One corner. WELCOME TO THE SHOWROOM: You are welcome in the 500m2 showroom in Amsterdam South, opposite the UMC hospital. It is easily accessible by public transport and by car. It is directly next to the A10 (ring road). The showroom is outside the environmental zone. Free parking for customers on site.
