This is a set of 10 silver serving pieces (gross weight 794 g). It includes: 2 large meat pieces (fork and knife with steel blades marked Paris), 2 icing sugar spoons (one less hollow), 1 small sorbet server, 1 large finely chiseled cake fork, 2 serving forks, and a pair of salad servers. All pieces are hallmarked: Minerva hallmark and master silversmith hallmark: H & Cie, a rosebud, and a star (not very legible in photo 8). This hallmark was inscribed in 1875 and struck out in 1891, then reused between 1896 and 1901 at 77 rue des archives in Paris. The set is presented in its original rosewood burl case with a cartouche and brass fillets on the top, and its key and lock (working). The exterior shows signs of age, but the interior is very clean. Gross silver weight: 794 grams (less the steel blade, the lining, and the top of the salad servers, I think there are approximately 680/700 grams of silver). Total weight with the case: 2.950 kg. Carefully packaged: approximately 4 kg. Dimensions: Knife: 32.5 X 3 cm, large fork: 28 X 3 cm, sprinkling spoons: 19 X 4.5 and 3.5 cm, small server: 19.5 cm, small forks: 19 X 2 cm, salad servers: 28 X 4.5 and 2.5 cm. Case: 44 X 29 X 6.5 cm. Condition: Clean set in good condition. The knife blade is well sharpened, with decent signs of age, as shown in the photos. Any questions. Please feel free to ask!.
