In this listing, you will find an extraordinary example of modernist design - the Brasilia lamp designed by Michel Boyer for the lighting company Verre Lumière. This handmade lamp was produced in a limited edition in black lacquered steel and in three different sizes. Boyer designed these highly tectonic objects for a project commissioned by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the French embassy in Brasília, which explains the name of the lamp. The base of the lamp is made of lacquered steel and weighs approximately 27 kg. The production of this lamp lasted only a few years. Made in France in 1974. The lamp requires 4 neon tubes, available worldwide. It has a European plug that can be easily adapted for use in any country with a simple power adapter. Very good vintage condition with some signs of age and use, such as a few creases on the lampshade. A tracking number will be sent to you upon shipment. For any further questions regarding this piece, please feel free to contact me. Happy shopping! The products are available in different sizes, with dimensions varying up to 45 cm in width, 110 cm in height, and 45 cm in depth.
