“Hongisto” Coffee table by Ilmari Tapiovaara for Laukaan Puu, Finland 1960s

A lovely coffee table from the “hongisto” series by ilmari tapiovaara, manufactured by laukaan puu in finland around 1960. This lovely piece is made of high quality pine wood in square shape. It’s straight design, the natural nerve in the wood and the beautiful eye for detail makes this a remarkable piece from tapiovaara’s very recognizable collection. It has a nice rustic style, very fitting for many different decors. It has the original manufacturer’s stamp underneath the frame, as shown in photos. It remains in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
