Superb square-shaped jewelry box in cedar magnifying glass of the napoleon III period, nineteenth century. It presents in its center a cartouche (medallion) in brass richly worked. It is surrounded by amaranth wood with mother-of-pearl inlays forming crosses on each side. The inside of the brass medallion is highlighted by a rosewood and amaranth flange to finally reveal the last medallion in its center. Very nice work from the napoleon III era. The rosewood interior has a beautiful red silk upholstered interior. Superb box in precious wood, brass and mother-of-pearl in which you can store your most beautiful jewels or other treasures. Safe in very good condition with its key. Open cabinet height 22.4 cm (8.8 inches) high for a depth of 30 cm (11.8 inches). Closed cabinet dimensions of 20 cm (7.9 inches) on each side for a height of 8.5 cm (3.3 inches). Weight of 730 grams (1.61 lbs).
