Magnificent landscape at sunset painted in oil on panel, from the late 19th or early 20th century. It is signed at the bottom left by the listed artist J.B. Wilkinson. 👉J.B. Wilkinson was a British-born painter active in North America, known for his landscapes and portraits. This work depicts a serene view of marshes or coastal plains at dusk. The mastery of light is remarkable: the golden reflections of the setting sun on the water contrast beautifully with the dark line of the forest in the background. A warm and poetic centrepiece, perfect for adding character to a classic interior, a country house, or a Muted Vintage style decor. Its original frame is made of wood aged by time, ideally highlighting the warmth of the painting. Its panel still has the original label on the back "Academy Canvas Panel" with the original stamp "Paint-Tested".
