Superb antique hollow plate in majolica earthenware, made in Italy (tradition of Deruta or Urbino). This collectible piece is distinguished by its rich hand-painted mythological decoration in the istoriato style. The central scene poetically depicts several deities or nymphs by the water, under the gaze of a winged cherub (putto). The rim features an elegant lobed and scalloped shape, highlighted with blue and yellow fillets and rhythmically adorned with stylised plant motifs. Ideal for enhancing a charming decor, to be displayed on a piece of furniture or hung on the wall for lovers of classic table art and character antiques. Style: Italian Renaissance (19th century). Material: Earthenware. Condition: Good overall condition for its age. Please note a small visible chip on the lower right edge (see photo), which does not detract from the authentic charm of this centuries-old object.
