Beautiful pair of Empire period armchairs in mahogany, featuring an elegant, sober, and architecturally characteristic line of the early 19th century. The curved armrests rest on supports sculpted with palmettes, while the rectangular backs are topped with a discreet moulding decorated with scrolls. The slightly sabre-shaped front legs harmoniously complete the ensemble. The seats and backs are upholstered with petit point tapestry in burgundy and gold tones, adorned with floral medallions and plant motifs inspired by neoclassical taste.
